‘Krill Oil’ to be used to treat skin cancer
The FDA is looking into whether or not garlic oil can be used in conjunction with other cancer treatments to treat human skin.
The agency has said the FDA is studying the safety and efficacy of garlic oil in treating human skin cancers and other cancers.
FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb said the agency is “aware of the possibility of the use of garlic and/or its derivatives in topical therapies and has looked into that issue.”
In a statement, the FDA said it is “reviewing the safety, efficacy and risks associated with use of any compounds or compounds compounds that contain garlic or its derivatives.”
Gottlieb also said that FDA is reviewing all ingredients for products containing garlic.
